Bayou Motor Carriage grew out of a "Saturday-morning motor club" of street-rod and duelling fans. Tinkerers to the core, they weren't satisfied with the way things were. Finally, several of them decided to "start from scratch" with a concept car. Their efforts became the BMC Wraith, our first vehicle offered commercially. Today's more street-oriented Spectre retains a close affinity with the styling of the original "garage-car," yet incorporates advances in manufacturing and materials. Always intended as a classy high-speed sports car, the Spectre is loaded with features for the discriminating driver. Heavy-duty anti-lock brakes are standard fixtures, giving drivers the edge of confidence in being able to handle changing road conditions. An active suspension system, spoiler, and airdam combine to give the Spectre exceptional agility when operating in the realm of speed for which it was intended. The flowing lines don't stop there - the entire body has been windtunnel engineered to lower its air resistance, giving its already impressive top speed a little extra boost. The curves are stylish in their own right and demand style and flash in everything added to it. Overhead, a sunroof lends its touch of class to the cockpit where the driver and a passenger ride in comfort. A small luggage compartment behind the seats is perfect for that picnic lunch or an overnight bag. Customer safety shows through in the vehicle's skin. We cocoon the vehicle's basic frame with GulfSyn polymers then layer a solid shell of specially-engineered metal alloy on top. The wheels receive the same treatment with wheelguards on the rear wheels and armored hubs on the front. Finally, to protect your investment, our factory mounts anti-personnel flechette grenades around your vehicle's perimeter.

Our customers asked for gas-power. We gave it to them. A new 250 cubic-inch engine with a 15-gallon duelling tank have replaced the original electric plant. There's just something about the throaty roar of a gas-burner that leaves knees weak everywhere you go. Go in style and make a lasting impression on the crowds.
It had to happen. And we shouldn't be surprised it did. One of our customers, Ms. Loren Bateman of Shreveport, replaced the standard electric plant with a Thundercat plant. She thought we'd like to hear about that and the few other changes she's made for the racetrack. Tinkerers at heart, we love her spirit and say a big "Thank you!" to her for sharing.
